My Midterm Journal

This semester has been particularly different for me in the Language aspect. Since I changed to section 301, learning English has become much more of a โ€œclass thingโ€ than a โ€œme thingโ€ for me.

Iโ€™ve really enjoyed Listening and Speaking classes with Mr. Carlos as usual. Writing classes with Miss Angie, while a bit more rigorous, have helped me to improve my narrating skills. Miss Flora on the other hand still encourages us to participate as a group and lead activities as the teachers we are working to become (which is immensely necessary in my opinion, due to the lack of confidence in that particular skill some of us have). Practicing rythm and punching tables with Mr. James is something that definitely wasnโ€™t on my predictions for this year, but Iโ€™d lie if I said it wasnโ€™t fun. Last but not least, we have Use of English with Miss Rocรญo, which has undoubtedly become my favorite subject out of the English components. We always have new material to work with and the classes are very interactive!

Iโ€™m very proud of myself this semester. While my grades might not be perfect, I think I understand the content very well and Iโ€™m learning to let myself relax. Grades are not as important as learning. I also became President of the Student Council which is something I wanted since I signed up for the program.
Overall, Iโ€™m pleased with my character development over these past few months. Iโ€™m very happy with both my academic, and personal life (if you know what I mean ;). )

Letter to all Freshmen:

Hello fellow classmates!!!

I havenโ€™t had the chance to know most of you deeper than a โ€œhelloโ€, but I can certainly tell that youโ€™re an excellent group and it shows how much you like the program. Please cherish and care for these professors as much as we do, because theyโ€™re amazing at their job๐Ÿ’—.

So far, Iโ€™ve given feedback to like 3 of you (Including my goddaughter pachi, slay gurl), but sharing ideas with my friends (not gossip at all, xoxo) we came to the agreement that all of you have an excellent English and have a lot of potential. Iโ€™m very excited to see more of your work.

As some random singer once said โ€œTake the glory, give everything. Promise to be dazzlingโ€.

cherish these people, theyโ€™ll always be there for you ๐Ÿ’—

If you made it this far, thank you for your attention.
